With more than half of its undergraduates participating in international experiences, George Fox University is a national leader in providing study abroad and international outreach opportunities to its students, ranking among the top 40 in the nation in study abroad participation, according to U.S. News & World Report.
Fifty-three percent of the university’s traditional undergraduates study abroad before graduation. According to data compiled by U.S. News for its 2012 “America’s Best Colleges” issue, George Fox ranks No. 37 out of approximately 1,400 accredited institutions in the nation in percentage of students studying outside the country. George Fox also ranked No. 5 among the 113 members of the Christian Colleges & Universities in study abroad participation.

Ouachita Baptist University Earns Rank as One of America's Best College
Ouachita Batist University is not only one of the top christian Universities but they are also ranked as one of Americas's best colleges for the third year in a row.
After four years as the No. 1 Regional College in the South, Ouachita Baptist University has moved up to a national ranking in U.S. News & World Report's annual assessment of "America's Best Colleges."
"After leading our region for years, we are now being recognized nationally," said Ouachita President Rex Horne. "I expect as we become even better known across the nation that our ranking in the top tier will rise."
Ouachita also is ranked nationally among "America's Top Colleges" by Forbes magazine for the third year in a row.

Christian Brothers University Named Among "America's Best Colleges"
According to the 2012 edition of U.S. News and World Report's "America's Best Colleges," Christian Brothers University (CBU) ranked 24th in the category of best Southern universities. In addition to that honor, the private school founded in 1871 is ranked fourth in diversity among its peers. That means that students at CBU are most likely to meet undergraduates different from themselves. CBU also was selected as an "A+ Option for B Students," recognizing that the school's faculty and environment help good students move toward excellence.

Christian College Fair is Set
For 13 years now, Hawthorne Christian Academy has hosted what has been called "one of the finest Christian college fairs in the United States. This free college fair will be held once again at Hawthorne Christian Academy on Sept. 30 from 7 to 9 p.m. An extremely insightful free financial aid seminar is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
Hawthorne Christian Academy has been voted one of the top 10 Christian college fairs in the country, by the National Association of Christian Colleges, an honor voted on by the representatives of colleges throughout the U.S. who score each event and their organizers. More than 800 prospective college students visited the college fair in 2010.

Emerging Solutions for Tough Economic Times
George O. Wood, chief executive officer of the Assemblies of God, a Pentecostal Christian denomination, talks often about the Feeding of the 5,000, a biblical story in which Jesus feeds 5,000 people with only five loaves of bread and two fish.
In that vein, Wood's denomination is putting faith in the idea that, even with limited resources, it can nourish the minds of its students. This month, the General Council of the Assemblies of God voted to consolidate three higher education institutions in Springfield, Mo.: Evangel University, Central Bible College, and the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary.

Three Memphis universities make Forbes ‘Top’ ranking
Three Memphis-based colleges and universities were among 14 in Tennessee to make “America’s Top Colleges,” an annual list compiled by ForbesbizWatch magazine.
Rhodes CollegebizWatch was the top Memphis school on the list, coming in at No. 75 behind Vanderbilt University in Nashville (No. 53) and Sewanee University in Sewanee (No. 57). Christian Brothers UniversitybizWatch ranked 602, and the University of MemphisbizWatch ranked at No. 639.
